Only Solid Materials.
All medals, medallions, and other items are die-struck from solid brass, nickel-silver, bronze, copper, as well as precious metals. Only the finest materials available, selected for their metallic composition and purity, are used to product The Medalcraft Mint products.

gidie2 Die Striking.
Each design is hand-sculpted or engraved to scale in a steel die block. Coining presses "strike" the material, forcing it into the die cavity, making an exact impression of the image from the hand-cut die. Learn How A Medal is Made.

Finishes.
Standard antique finish is the most popular finish, but additional finishes are available. Each item is protected with a durable jeweler's lacquer to prevent tarnishing.
Lead Time.
STOCK sports and academic medals ship within 24 hours. Other stock products ship in 1 - 3 days.

CUSTOM items ship in 3 - 4 weeks for new projects and about 2 weeks for repeat orders. Call us with rush orders ... we can often ship within 2 weeks.

Polishing. Polishing is a popular optional finishing technique that creates a shiny, jewelry-look. Each item is hand-polished. Pricing is determined by the amount of surface area to be polished. Enameling. One or more colors can be added to medals using hand applied epoxy enamel. Pricing is based upon the number of colors, surface area and intricacy of the enameled area. Note: the die needs to be created to hold enamel. View popular enamel colors.
Proof-like Minting. We can mint proof-like items which is a contrasting frosted and mirrored effect. They can be die-struck in brass, bronze or precious metals.
